BY-LAWS

 

 

1.01 NAME

The name of this Organization shall be the Nacogdoches County Mounted Patrol

Any use of this name except that which is authorized by the Offices of the

Organization is forbidden. Hereafter in these By-Laws, this entity will be referred

to as the Organization.

 

2.01 PURPOSE

The purpose of this Organization shall be to develop and maintain a group of skilled horse persons to establish a competing and performing equestrian drill team and to assist with the Nacogdoches County Exposition Center, to aid in the community and participate in other such activities as may be selected by the Organization.

 

3.01 OFFICERS

The principal Offices of the Organization in the State of Texas shall be located in the City of Nacogdoches, County of Nacogdoches. The Organization shall have Officers including: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

 

3.02 ELECTED OFFICIES

Offices include Drill Captain, minimum of two assistant Drill Instructors, and Chaplain.

 

3.02A Members holding Offices: If a member holding any elected office is absent from four (4) consecutive practices that member shall become ineligible to hold office or position. The Officers shall appoint active members as a temporary until election is held at the next Business Meeting.

 

3.02B Eligibility: Any member who has become ineligible for an office or position shall become eligible for re-election upon attendance of consecutive practices to the number of practices missed.

 

4.DUTIES OF THE PRINCIPLE OFFICERS

 

4.01A President: The President shall be the principal executive officer of the Organization and preside over all business and affairs of the Organization as governed by Roberts Rules of Order.

 

4.01B Vice President: The Vice President shall preside over all committees and in the absence of the President the Vice President shall perform the duties of the President.

 

4.01C Secretary: The Secretary keeps the minutes of the meetings and such other duties from time to time as assigned by the President or Vice President.

 

4.01D Treasurer: The Treasurer shall perform all the duties that pertain to the office of Treasury and such other duties from time to time as assigned by the President or Vice President.

 

5.01 DUTIES OF THE ELECTED OFFICES

 

5.01A Chaplain: The Chaplain will be elected by a majority vote of the Active Members. The duties of the Chaplin shall be performed as the Organization deems appropriate.

 

5.01B Assistant Chaplain: The Assistant Chaplain will be elected by a majority vote of the Active Members. The duties of the Assistant Chaplin shall be performed as the Organization deems appropriate.
