The Team of Four, or “Quad”, Competition is performed to music that lasts between 4-6 minutes long.  This division is hard to choreograph and perform because there are only four riders that have to utilize the whole arena to make the  patterns look spectacular.  The judges have fewer

riders to watch, so mistakes are more visible.  As with the other divisions, spacing, alignment, timing, and coordination are important.  The Quad team works together to become a close knit group, knowing exactly what their teammates will do next.  The Nacogdoches County Mounted Patrol has a Men’s Quad, and a Women’s Quad.

“Men In Black” Men’s Quad

This team Rides all in black to Johnny Cash.  In 2007, Men In Black competed in the USEDA National Championships held in Canton, TX.  There are over 50 drill teams that come from all over.  We won 3rd place.  We worked hard in 2008 and came back to placed 2nd at the National Championships.  Watch out 2009!

“Ladies In Red” Women’s Quad

This is a team of dedicated women that was formed in 2008.  With only a short time to practice, we competed in the Texas Open held in Grand Saline, TX.  We placed 3rd.  We also competed in the USEDA National Championships, held in Lindale TX at the Rose Horse Park, and placed 4th.  With a new group of ladies working hard in 2009, we’re going to the top!
