Theme is a fun division to compete in.  The theme chosen is  reflected in the costumes and the music.  The drill can be between 6– 15 minutes long.  The difficulty of patterns,

precision, and horsemanship are important, but great emphasis is also put on Crowd appeal and how Spectacular the drill is.  This is one of our favorite divisions to compete in.  We really have fun with this one, with costumes, music, and attitude.  In 2008 we started the

competition season with the “Jailhouse Rock” theme.  We were able to get jail uniforms (compliments of the City of Nacogdoches Jail), added in with a little “Jailhouse Rock” and the posse was hot on our trail.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Theme Drill

Our last competition for 2008 was The Texas Open, held in Marshall, TX.  We decided to mix things up a little and go with a new theme.  In keeping with the thrill of summer, we chose to go tropical with some Beach Boys.  The grass skirts and flowers were a little

challenging for some of the horses, but they all did great.  We won 1st Place!
